The results showed advantages and disadvantages in the adoption of telework in the public service, among the advantages can be highlighted: increase in productivity, reduction of costs for the administration and for the servers, better quality of life of the teleworker, greater conviviality with the family, reduction of of stress due to greater comfort, among others. The disadvantages pointed out in the studies are related to the feeling of excessive belonging to the institution and the limitation of socialization, interaction and integration with co-workers. It is concluded with the results of the research that there is a need for adjustments, both by public institutions and servers, with regard to the alignment of organizational and personal interests. Given the relevance of this topic for the Brazilian public administration, the importance of studies that deal with the insertion of teleworking in the public service is highlighted in order to implement new organizational strategies to maximize results in the provision of services to society.
